Cafe Latte Handmade Soap

It sure took the supplier ages to mail my order. When I wrote to her, she was surprised that my order did not get mailed out.

Excited as usual, I tried to make a loaf with the cosmetic dye. It didn't turn out the way I wanted. It should look like coco colour. That's another problem, liquid colours do get "eaten" by the lye.

I would think it is funny if I make a blue soap turns out to be pink!

Batch No.5. 21 July 2008.

Powdered cocoa gives soap a beautiful rich brown colour, works perfectly in CP soaps, and it holds up. I use about 1 tbsp in a 2 pound batch, dissolved in a bit of oil. It works like a charm! Using strongly brewed coffee in place of water does the trick, too, for a lighter brown. :) Hope that helps!
