Colours of Autumn

My slumber was interrupted in consecutive early mornings.  I got cold toes.  It was 3AM.

The window was slid open a bit wider so I could stick my head out.  The air outside smelled so fresh and chilly.  Inhaled and exhaled several times.  There was a sweet hint in the air.  The world felt so peaceful when everyone was asleep.  It was real quiet.  The insects stopped making all sorts of loud noises.  It used to be noisy during summer nights.

That next day, I pulled out that down duvet just so I can have good night sleep thereafter.  Autumn is definitely here.  It will get colder.

Woah!! The pic on top is one heck of a cool shot! Interesting!

Here, in KL.. it's always a hot night. Otherwise, it's a rainy night with wind blowing so hard that trees are being uprooted!

I remember the nights in Sydney in summer. It was warm, dry and full of lint. Haha!

Gina,
Wow, uprooted? Is it that serious? I know we used to get our place flooded with it's rainy season.

I don't know if I should like summer or to hate summer. I like it warm but I hate those mosquitoes and UFO insects :o)(those that I don't see in back in Msia).

Love the shots! Love the colours. The leaves remind me of a colleague on a business trip to northern part of USA, brought back some autumn maple leaves to distribute to fellow-colleagues when he got back. Probably a cheap souvenir but it's really the thought that counts. I thought he was being thoughtful and sweet enough to want to share part of his trip. And I still see them leaves pinned to the noticeboards at workstations. Nice.

Yeah.. around my area. Uprooted one small tree and branches fell all over the place. The night wind was scary to hear.

Oh yeah.. I heard of the pesky insects!

Happy Surfer, not bad to have somebody thinking of you huh? :•)

Gina, I hope you won't get anymore of those serious storm.

Bengbeng, let's hope so. The trees around where I live look rather ugly. If I find some pretty ones, surely I'll take some photos.

I love the colourful leaves! Autumn is my favourite season; cool air, bright sky, and colourful surroundings.

Adeline,
I'm sure those inland area will be more colourful then Sydney. As it's located near the sea, the temperature isn't extreme enough for the colours to burst nicely.

The first shot looks like a postcard design, very nice.

Nothing beats the fresh chilly air, it makes me feel at peace with nature.

I love the autumn season, one of my favorites. I get to wear smart sweaters.

Ayie,
I guess autumn and spring are the best seasons. Not too hot not too cold.

Paul,
Spring has sprung huh? Well, in six months' time, it's gonna be my turn again :o) Enjoy the sunshine there!

Nabeel,
I guess it's colder in Chicago in winter. Some people do like layering clothing. Are you one of them?

The colours of autumn are so beautiful! But not the cold...:)

Hi Mei Teng,
are you back from your holiday already? Can't wait to see where you've been.

It has been rather cold these 2 days. A sudden cold snap of some sort. Have to put on my fleece top.

This is a very unique experience to see a different season halfway around the world from what we are experiencing here in Canada. Although Autumn is my favourite season of the year, for obvious reasons, it's nice to feel the warmth of the Spring sunshine. Nice pics.

Autumn is just nice. The pic of the leave is well taken. Green turning red. I miss the cold weather in Aust. Last time I also used to stay at the backyard at winter time with my sweater and looking at the clear bright sky while feeling the cold breeze in Adelaide. It is so peaceful and quiet...good old times.
