Christmas Light Projections

Christmas is just a few days away. Historical buildings and churches are being lit with colorful light projections. The illumination changes colors or themes every 30 or 40 seconds.

Shoppers are busy shopping for gifts. Some might just do theirs last minutes. Have you written to Santa Claus yet?

Thanks to my volunteered porter that made this Christmas walk shots possible. Otherwise, I would need to carry 4kg of setup (tripod and camera) around town. Perhaps a small luggage with wheels would be a good idea.

Very colourful & elaborate Christmas lightings! I'm glad that Christmas shopping is over for me; gifts have been wrapped and put away. Hoping for a white Christmas this year!

It's always good to beat the Christmas rush.

CH Voon,
It won't work? You knew it in advance? Haha. Porter is hubby.

*taking a bow* to your comment.

I noticed Ai that lights are always festive there. Just like your previous posts about lights =)

Thanks to the porter you were able to snap such photo!

The town hall is beautifully lit up! :)

I don't know if this is just me. Somehow, all the Christmasy decors in malls felt like so "commercialized and empty" to me. But I am going to visit a mall in downtown KL on Friday....just to see if there's anything worth photographing. And also for some shopping :)

How is the atmosphere at your end?

Mei Teng,
Christmas, New Year, etc they are all commercial/retail propaganda, no doubt. That's why I only take photos, not buying anything unnecessarily.

Thank you.

not so festive Ai...some houses are decorated and just few places with exhibits and park festivals.

good morning to you!!

It's the season to be jolly regardless of religion! ^_^

It's good to see that shopping malls in Singapore are willing to splurge in decorations again, as compared to last year's gloomy season.

Good day to you too! :o)

Thank you, glad you like them. You should take a walk around the city. There are plenty of light projections at the - St Mary Cathedral, Town Hall, The Mint, and The Parliament House. Lights are only switch on after dark i.e 8.30PM onwards.

Shingo T,
I think Singapore is always very generous when it comes to festive seasons. The decorations especially at Orchard Road are quite over the top :o)

Great picture. It looks really cool.
I really should get a tripod but I've never used one before.

Hey Ai Shiang, that is one cool picture! You know what? You should submit your picture to NY Times and have it featured. Seriously!

Yeah, thanks to your volunteer, we get to see this beautiful sight.

Wonderful light projections!
I also don't like carry heavy camera and lenses, but they are getting heavier... a trolley bag is really a good idea! ^.^
