Subconscious Activities

Night 1 - I was busy searching the Internet for travelling information.
Night 2 - I was on a boat trip to an island.  It was a real life HDR* island.  I was excited!
Night 3 - I was on a train trip, crisscrossing countries in high speed.  The wind was cold.

You didn't think these were all possible, did you?  Actually, it was my subconscious mind that went for those trips every night for the past 3 nights.  I've never dreamt about the same subject consecutively, ever.  What's that one dream you never forget?

*HDR or High Dynamic Range is a type of image processing technique that allows a dynamic range of luminance between lightest and darkest area in an image compare to standard photographic techniques.

Mind playing tricks on us right? :p You can really visualize huh! I think you really yearn to go on that cruise.

Willie,
With a couple trial and error, HDR isn't hard.

Reanaclaire, Lily Riani,
I don't like to be on water, cruise isn't for me. It's just a picture I took.

Tekkaus,
Strange thing that I don't yearn for a cruise nor do I like cruise, yet I keep dreaming about it.

I've experienced such dream state before. Repeatedly the same dream over a duration of time. In the end, it came manifested ... but wasn't a good thing actually ... huhuhu

Just learnt about HDR over the weekend ... what a coincidence.

I've been told that dreams bring us back to our previous lives and where we've been. I suppose that's why we sometimes go to some place and felt a certain deja vu? Nice shot!

it's a sign!! you're destined to go on a holiday... perhaps a cruise?

It's definitely an amazing dream ;) ...and it's as grand as the pic you shot here!

Fufu,
I'm not going anywhere just yet.

WennyYap,
I don't mind having sequencial dreams, like watching TV series in my sleeps :o)

Happysurfer,
Oh is that right? No wonder once in a while I have dejavu. But it doesn't bother me. I read that we dream because we're in a deep sleep stage. I guess deep sleep is good.

Lechua,
Ocean is a scary place to be, don't you think so? No cruise for me :o)

Horsoon,
Thank you for the compliment. With a bit of HDR here and there the pic turns out quite ok.

Magnificent looking ship! :)

You have dream alot during sleep?

HappySurfer said...

Talk about sleep, I saw a documentary the other day that says we all sleep in 90-min cycles. The first 90 mins is when our body gets recharged and the next 90, our brain gets its turn and it is during this stage that we experience REM (Rapid Eye Movements) and it is this stage that we start dreaming. And the cycle begins until we wake up. This alternating pattern is probably why we sometimes have dreams that come in episodes. Interesting, huh?

Ai Shiang said...

Mei Teng,
I dream in every sleep but most of the time I don't remember them. Don't you dream every night? You only dream when you're in deep sleep.

Happysurfer,
That's interesting. It's the first time I heard about this 90 min cycle. I do experience this REM as my family all tell me that I sleep with half my eyes open and rolling all the time. Scary huh? As if I almost sleep with my eyes open. During my teens we slept in bunk beds. I had to sleep on the top bunk otherwise if there's any tiny stuff that fell down, I'd wake up with red and very sore eyes.

Come to think of it, I don't remember much of my dreams except the one last night with me visiting a friend back home and showing her my baby boy. It felt so real.

For a while was lost then realised your subconscious aka dream haha. Some old saying if you think day and night you may dream about it..Anyway you have got great dreams on nice places and exciting travelling better off than having nightmares..

Gina,
Thanks Gina! I wish I could snap this ship a lot closer but risking me falling into the water? Noooo! :o)

Ayie,
I guess you must be missing home.

Mano,
Thank you.
