The Government House

The Governor's Dinner Table

This was taken inside The Government House.  It was opened for public viewing.  The house is to be used by the State Government and charitable organisations, as well as enabling the general public to enjoy this very special place.

I believe the governor-general did dine in this table herself :)

Never before. It looks fun on TV though. Round table would be better - the Chinese style. Can always swing the food here and there.

Generally, is photography allowed in museums or homes for public viewing like this?

Over here, it's generally prohibited.

Nice. Reminds me of the Prime Minister's residence or rather the official function rooms next to his residence I visited once. Not sure if photography was allowed but we were taken on a guided tour and they have that daily. It's in Putrajaya.

Mei Teng,
So far I think I've taken 4 indoors photography. I usually ask first before I bring my gear. I think islamic countries are more particular about people taking photos of places like you mentioned.

I see (from pics) Putrajaya has quite a number of majestic looking structures. Very beautiful. Unlike Melbourne's abstract buildings. Not pleasant to the eyes. Yikes! LOL!
