Texture In Photography

Federation Square, Melbourne.
Buildings that have textures attract my attention especially for the purpose of photography.  Textures create patterns, rhythms, lines, shapes that the eyes would enjoy following.

Very nice shots of an interesting building. What building is this?

Happysurfer,
It's the Federation Square. I've posted the exterior previously titled: Quirky Architecture. These shots are the interior.

I love textures, shapes and lines.

The Leica D-Lux 5 camera comes with Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 3 free online download. It has got good reviews. Haven't purchased yet...still thinking.

How's life? Busy with photography?

Mei Teng,
That was quick! Haha! Bought it already. Unfortunately, cant see the photos you take from Leica, can I? You're blogging right? No, I have never used Lightroom before.

Buildings are my favorite photo shoot targets too. I admire the clever usage of technology and science by the architects, and created such beautiful pieces of arts. Taken from different points of view, there are even more to tell from the photographer’s perspective.

Yeah...I was planning to wait and see and was at the store wanting to test the camera and ended up purchasing it. I am no longer blogging. But I will try to upload something onto Flickr later when I have the time to shoot with it.

I was abit afraid I might have made the wrong purchase (i.e. comparing image quality with my slr) but after some quick shooting...am surprised that it produced pretty good images.

One thing I must get use to is the size! So small and light and makes my hands feel jittery holding it and I have to shoot via LCD. Does not come with viewfinder although one can purchase it at a whopping RM500!

Meiteng,
Let me know your link to flickr. I can;t even remember my sign-in name and password for it. I think it has been deactivated.
